Alexander Gold

Bio Detail

Alex is the Loss Control Team Leader at Lamb Insurance Services where he is responsible for developing and implementing risk management/loss control initiatives for non-profit organizations across the country. Alex is also certified as a Workplace Safety & Loss Prevention Specialist (Code Rule 59 & 60) by the New York State Department of Labor. Prior to joining Lamb Insurance Services, he was a Risk Management Consultant for international, multi-billion-dollar organizations, an Assistant Vice President for a national brokerage firm's Professional Liability division and a Commercial Lines Manager for a regional brokerage firm. Alex has earned a Master of Science degree in Risk Management from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University. He also holds a Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation, a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, and a Certified School Risk Manager designation from the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research as well as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from The Institutes Risk & Insurance Knowledge Group.

Stanley Smith is President of SGS Consulting, Inc. The firm owns an Allstate Insurance Agency and a Safety and Risk Management Practice. They focus on personal lines insurance sales and safety and risk management consulting. The firm is based in Dallas, Texas. Stanley's Allstate Agency writes automobile, home, business, and life insurance in the state of Texas. The Risk Management practice is focused on YMCAs, Community College/School Districts, and small commercial clients across the country. Stanley has over 30 years of Risk Management and Insurance experience having worked in various Loss Control positions with a Property and Casualty insurance carrier and as Risk Manager of a private company. Stanley earned his CIC designation in 2003 and his CRM designation in 2008, and he also holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.

Daniel Kugler

Bio Detail

Dan Kugler is the VP Enterprise Risk Management for the REV Group. The REV Group is a leading manufacturer of motor vehicles for bus, emergency, specialty and recreation markets worldwide. REV's lineup of products includes ambulances, fire trucks, shuttle buses, transit buses terminal trucks street sweepers, luxury motorhomes and wheel chair accessible vans. REV owns 26 brands employs more than 6,000 in 16 different plants in the US. And produces more than 20,000 specialty vehicles annually. Prior to joining the REV Group in June of 2016, Dan was the Director for the Center for Insurance & Risk Management at the University Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Business where he was responsible for growing the IRM Center and teaching insurance/risk management courses. Dan joined the college in June of 2014 his Alma Mater. Dan retired from Snap-on Incorporated after 35 years in 2014 where he served as the Assistant Treasurer Risk Management and President of Snap-on SecureCorp Companies. Snap-on SecureCorp Companies consists of: 2 insurance agencies (US and UK) and 2 captive insurance companies in Bermuda and Malta. Mr. Kugler remains an Adjunct Professor at: Concordia College of Wisconsin, an instructor for: National Alliance, ICCIE in captive insurance studies, and RIMS professional development courses. In 2014 under Dan's leadership Snap-on SecureCorp was awarded the 2014 Captive Insurance Company of the Year from CICA. In 2012 Dan received the Midwestern Insurance Innovation and Leadership Award. In 2010, Dan and his risk management team received the Risk and Insurance Magazine Theodore Roosevelt Workers' Compensation and Disability Management Award. In 2009 the team received the National Underwriters Excellence in Workers Compensation. Dan was selected for the 2002 Risk Manager of the Year Award from Business Insurance and RIMS. Mr. Kugler received his bachelor's degree of business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, MBA from Loyola University Chicago and Advanced Management certificate in Enterprise Risk Management from Georgia State University. He holds the following designations: RIMS-CRMP, ACI, CPCU, ARM, AIC, INS and CEBS.
