Faculty NameMark Greenway
Mark Greenway has worked at LIG Marine Managers for 14 years and is their current Director of London Market and Special Placement Center. He began his tenure in the LIG IT Department, developing its line of business applications. He then focused on Crew Protection & Indemnity claims and their management. Turning his attention to underwriting, Mark started writing MEL risks and expanded into "all special risks" that came to LIG for placement. During this time, he attained his Certified Marine Insurance Professional Designation (CMIP), then moved to London where he gained an understanding of the London Market and trained with Brokers and Underwriters in preparation for his current role with LIG. Mark now works transcontinental between LIG Florida Headquarters and its London, UK office, where he has built important strategic relationships for LIG underwriting and oversees the LIG Special Placement Center. Mark laid the foundation for his career with a Computer Engineering Technology degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Prior to working for LIG, Mark worked in web development with DataGlyphics, where he created early social networking sites during the first dot.com boom. It was from this experience, where Mark transitioned to LIG and developed the applications that LIG still uses to this day for managing risks in-house and tracking claims. Most times Mark can be found back in the LIG Florida headquarters, as he continues his transcontinental focus as Director of London Market and Special Placement Center. A little-known fact about Mark, is he also is a self-proclaimed "Efficiency Evangelist," who specializes in removing roadblocks and creating better business systems to improve efficiency and easier work processes.
