Alan Fuhrhop, Manager of AOK Insurance and Financial Services, LLC, has owned and operated a multi-line insurance agency, serving the insurance and financial needs of families and small businesses since 1983, focusing on personal lines, small commercial/business-owners, both personal and business life, and financial products driven by relationships through client education, multi-line sales, and customer services. He is a CIC Faculty member for The National Alliance.
In July of 2017, Alan sold his agency and retired from the day to day activity of managing multiple agency offices as a principle agent, primarily as an exclusive and choice agency with Nationwide Insurance, Alan continues his insurance industry experience as a consultant for agency management and the processes and procedures needed in a successful agency. He also teaches insurance pre-licensing classes as well as continuing education classes. Most recently Alan became a licensed real estate licensee and Realtor, focused on building sales relationships and teaching real estate pre-licensing.
Prior to owning/operating his own agency, Alan was a life sales agent for his family's personal life insurance agency, representing Franklin Life. He also was an Agency Sales Manager for National Farmers Union Insurance Company, recruiting and training independent and captive agents and an Agency Manager for Nationwide Insurance Company, recruiting and training exclusive agents and their agencies in business management, sales, service and product knowledge.
Faculty NameSidney Aycock*
Earl Aycock, Jr. graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi in June 1976 with a BA degree in Political Science. After graduation, he moved to Meridian, Mississippi and began working in his family insurance business that same month. In 1982 Earl received his CIC designation and has maintained it since that time. He now owns the Aycock Insurance Agency, Inc. and has formed with two other agencies, The Insurance Center of Meridian, LLC.
Earl began his teaching career in Sunday school at the First Baptist Church of Meridian, Mississippi. In 1985, he also became a certified flight instructor through the Federal Aviation Administration and has helped many people become certified pilots. The enjoyment and sense of satisfaction he gained from these teaching endeavors ultimately led him to the resolution that teaching insurance would be just as fulfilling. He also realized that in teaching others, the teacher benefits as well.
Faculty NameScott Treen
Scott Treen is the President of Treen Insurance Agency in Jefferson, Ohio. He has more than 30 years of experience as an insurance professional. He earned a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University in 1981 and holds the CPIA designation and earned his CIC designation in 1999.
Scott received the Jack V Hedges Educator of the year award in 2007 from the Professional Insurance Agents of Ohio and is on the National Faculty for the National Alliance.
Scott has taught for CISR, CIC, LUTCF, CPIA and other professional development courses and speaks to various civic groups. He has also taught insurance related curriculum to high school students. He was past president of the Ashtabula County Life Underwriters Association.
