Bio Detail

Kate Norris is VP, Family Office Practice Leader for North America, Personal Risk Services with CHUBB. With experience in the industry since 1998, years of industry experience, Kate focuses on ultra-high net worth personal insurance- specifically, family office clients. She has an established track record working with family offices and is responsible for collaborating with agents and brokers to develop strategic opportunities that meet the unique needs of their family office clients. Based in the CHUBB Private Risk Services office in Chicago, Kate brings in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and family office environment. Using her experience working with families, Kate advises agents and brokers, family offices and centers of influence about the special risks faced by ultra-high net worth families and how CHUBB Private Risk Services can better serve their needs. Kate specializes in Family Office, Personal Risk Management, Personal Liability Risk, Private Jets, Yachts, Collector Autos, International Homes, Wine, Jewelry, Collections, and Professional Liability. Kate most recently worked as a private client advisor at Hub International Insurance Brokers. Prior to that, she held leadership roles at the Insurance Design Center, LLC, Family Office Exchange, LLC (FOX), and Bernstein Investment Research and Management. Kate is a licensed Property and Casualty broker in Illinois and holds a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Science from the University of Kansas. She also serves on the leadership board of the CIPC, earned the CPRM designation in July of 2016, and earned the CAPI designation in December of 2017.

Diane T. Keil-Hipp is Chief Operations Officer of Knight Insurance Group, an independent insurance agency based in Toledo, Ohio. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business and a Master of Organization Development. Diane is a faculty member for CPRM through The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research. Diane's employment resume is short. She has worked her entire career at Knight Insurance Group, starting in 1985. As such, she has worked in nearly every capacity of an agency except sales. This breadth of experience has given Diane a unique edge in her current role as COO, where she is responsible for performance of the service team; advertising, marketing, and client communication; human resources; budgeting and finances. Diane became a partner at Knight in 2006. While a graduate student, Diane developed an Organization Development concept, called Gainsharing, for insurance agencies. For several years, she taught the principles of Gainsharing to agency owners and managers. Additionally, Diane consulted with insurance agencies on workflow design, bonus programs, and job design. She has served on the Ohio Insurance Agents Association board, government affairs, and internship committees. She is currently President of the Westfield Agents Association board, having served since 2014, and sits on the Bowling Green State University Insurance Committee. Diane has a passion for talking to college students about insurance as a career path and shares her story as a testament to what's possible.

Robert Ray

Bio Detail

Bob Ray, a second generation insurance professional, has been employed in the insurance industry since 1973. A graduate of Jacksonville University, he has also completed insurance-related courses at Crawford & Company, Lumberman's Underwriting Alliance, and the National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health. Bob's career has spanned all aspects of the insurance industry. He began his career as a claims adjuster and property appraiser for Crawford & Company. In 1974, Universal Underwriters hired Bob to develop the Accident Prevention & OSHA Inspection Program for the Florida Automobile Dealers Association Self-Insurance Fund. While there, he served as Divisional Underwriting Manager for the Western Division and Divisional Executive Assistant for the Western & Southern Divisions. During this time, he co-authored "Unicover IV & V," a package policy developed exclusively for franchised automobile dealers. In 1987, Bob assisted in the creation of a new professional liability insurance carrier, RUMGER Insurance Company, later purchased by Great American Insurance Company. He authored their easy-to-read professional liability insurance policies - Pro-Law & Pro-Med for lawyers and physicians respectively. In June 1993, Bob joined National Risk Management & Associates. In addition to providing insurance products and services, Bob frequently testifies as an insurance expert in many states as well as federal courts. His clients have included the Orlando International Airport, Walt Disney's Epcot Center, Commercial Carrier Corp, Nichols Campbell & Morrow (NCM), and several insurance carriers and law firms. He has developed and drafted policy language and state filings for specialized markets including New & Used Car Dealers Package, eBusinessowners & eProfessional Liability, and Insurance Agents, Lawyers and Physicians Professional Liability policies.
