The primary focus of this course is to introduce and explain the methods that can be used to finance the district’s losses. Using general criteria, the risk manager compares and evaluates the various risk financing options and ultimately determines which is best for the school district.

Martin Malloy

Bio Detail

Marty Malloy is the Director of the Education and Government Group at M3 insurance. In this capacity, he develops insurance and risk management strategies for Wisconsin public entities including, schools, counties, municipalities and other special districts. Marty earned a Bachelor's of Art degree from University of Illinois-Urbana in 1983 and a Master of Science in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1998. Joining the M3 Team in April, 2014, Marty came with 25 years of insurance and risk management experience in working with Wisconsin public entities and health care facilities. Marty is a licensed agent for property and casualty and holds the following designations: Master of Science in Insurance and Risk Management (MS), Associate in Risk Management for Public Entities (ARM-P), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), Certified School Risk Manager (CSRM) Marty stays active in industry through his involvement in the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials (WASBO) Risk Management Committee as well as both the University of Wisconsin Business Risk Management Alumni and University of Wisconsin Alumni Associations.
