Vince Staub is a practicing Chief Risk and Compliance Officer with over 25 years of experience currently working in high tech sector in the San Francisco Bay Area for Multi-National companies.
He is a National Faculty member for The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research and teaches CRM courses.
Over the years, Vince has created and run various Environmental, Health & Safety programs, Information Security Programs and Risk Management functions which included Executive Risk, Business Continuity, Property Loss Control and Worker's Comp. In his earlier years he worked as a Camp Counselor, Life Guard and EMT. Currently Vince is on the leadership team of his Community Emergency Response Team and serves as a Chaplain for the local Police Department.
Vince holds a Master's of Science in Occupational Health & Safety, is a Certified Ethics and Compliance Professional and a Certified Risk Manager since 2007.
Vince's training and experience provide unique perspectives to his present work in the field of education. He is proud to be developing and distributing information with immediate and practical value to insurance and risk management professionals.
Faculty NameLeonardo Costantino
Leonardo (Leo) Costatino, MBA, CPCU, ARM-E is a Risk Consultant for Key Accounts for ADP TotalSource, working with businesses to develop their risk and safety programs. Leo, who is fluent in Spanish, has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and risk management field, creating and managing insurance and risk management programs for both private and public-sector organizations. His industry experience spans professional employer organizations, transportation, government, insurance carrier and broker operations, education and retail. Leo received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles and his Master of Business Administration degree from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California.
In addition to his academic achievements, Leo holds the ARM-E, CPCU, Workers' Compensation Claims Associate and Risk Pool Management designations. Leo stays up to date on insurance industry developments through continuing education for his active CA Fire & Casualty insurance license. He has extensive teaching and education management experience, serving as Adjunct Faculty at California State Northridge and Instructor at UCLA Extension, where he also created and managed professional development courses. In 2017 he presented a National Alliance Advanced Seminar topic in Mexico City, Mexico.
Leo's contributions to the insurance industry includes serving for over 10 years as a board member of the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Society Los Angeles and El Camino Chapters and as Education Chair with the Los Angeles RIMS Chapter. He has worked to advance the adoption of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in the public sector, serving as an ISO 31000 trainer for the Public Risk Managers Association (PRIMA), as well as presenting on ERM at various conferences.
Faculty NameBetsy Summerfield
Dr. Betsy Summerfield, Risk Manager for Southwest Virginia Community College, completed her A.A.S. in Emergency Management from Clackamas Community College; B.S. in Business Administration from Appalachian State University; MBA in Management from Golden Gate University; and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from East Tennessee State University. She holds the CRM and CSRM designations as well as the Certified Emergency Manager designation with IAEM. With over 23 years of experience in risk management, she has seen the area of risk management increase in responsibility and become an integral part of strategic planning.
Betsy has conducted several workshops and served as a speaker at numerous state and national conferences including URMIA, CCBO and the Governor's Conference on Emergency Preparedness. She has conducted webinars, and has published articles on various risk management topics.
