Shirley brings a tremendous passion for ensuring that families receive timely and valuable risk management advice and solutions.
Shirley joined Lockton in late 2017 with more than 20 years high-net-worth insurance experience. She has built teams with a singular focus on the client - from in-depth risk discovery, to custom insurance placement, to optimal service and claims experience. She partners with clients and their trusted advisors to understand and define risks and exposures, to perform comprehensive reviews of insurance contracts and programs, and to deliver expert consultation and advice tailored to client's unique personal and financial circumstances.
Shirley proudly achieved her Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation in 2016.
Faculty NameMark Fredricksen
In his 40 years in the Insurance Industry, Mark D. Fredricksen has made a name for himself in the animal mortality and agricultural markets. In 1986 Mark established Mark D. Fredricksen Insurance Services, Inc., and in 1993 acquired equine retailer Peterson, McAnally and Tabor. In 2007 Mark was acquired by Hub International Insurance Services, a global leader in the Insurance industry completing a merger which created one of HUB' s first wholesale operations.
Mark finds his work most fulfilling when he has the opportunity to work with other brokers who may be unfamiliar with the Agri/Equine marketplace, or have limited access to markets. In these situations, Mark can work as a consultant with Brokers to assist them with form and carrier recommendations.
Some of the highlights of his nearly 40 years in the insurance industry include: earning his Certified Insurance Counselor designation, 1986; being President of the Thoroughbred Racing and Breeding Safety Association; giving expert witness testimony in equine related cases and facilitating carrier seminars.
Mark is also aware of the value of community, be it the community he lives in or the community he works within, therefore he keeps honesty and integrity in the forefront of all his personal and work related dealings.
Faculty NameRose Marie Norman
Rose Marie Norman graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Studies and minors in Aviation Business Administration, Space Studies, and Mathematics. Since 2011 she has served as a Broker for Aon Risk Solution's Aviation Practice Group. Rose Marie brokers and acts as an account manager for several key Aon clients, including risks written for Aviation Products, Completed Operations, & Grounding Liability, Workers Compensation, Airport Liability, Aircraft Hull & Liability, Charter Liability, Airline Leasing Liability, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Liability, and Non-Owned Aircraft Liability for single line and quota share placements. She has also worked on the day-to- day contractual advisement and certificate issuance of several of Aon's airport, aviation manufacturing, airline leasing, and commercial airline clients.
Rose Marie is a licensed Property & Casualty General Lines Agent in the state of Texas and holds over 30 non-resident licenses. Rose Marie earned her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and Certified Aviation Insurance Professional (CAIP) designation in 2014. Prior to Aon, Rose Marie began her career in aviation insurance at Leading Edge Insurance Agency in Colorado Springs, Colorado and worked as a Human Resources Recruiter for Xanterra Parks & Resorts in Yellowstone National Park.
Aviation has always been a part of Rose Marie's life and she even took her first flying lesson when she was 15 years old as a member of the Civil Air Patrol. She is currently a member of Women in Aviation International and the North Texas Council of Governments UAS Safety & Integration Task Force. She has also served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Council for Dreams Soar, Inc., a non-profit organization which works to inspire and provide mentorship for the next generation of aviation and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) professions. In her roles within Dreams Soar, she has provided broking and insurance risk advisement and coordinated international outreach with partners, such as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO, a specialized agency of the United Nations), various international civil aviation authorities, and aviation and STEM related businesses and professional organizations.
Faculty NameRobert Ray
Bob Ray, a second generation insurance professional, has been employed in the insurance industry since 1973. A graduate of Jacksonville University, he has also completed insurance-related courses at Crawford & Company, Lumberman's Underwriting Alliance, and the National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health. Bob's career has spanned all aspects of the insurance industry. He began his career as a claims adjuster and property appraiser for Crawford & Company. In 1974, Universal Underwriters hired Bob to develop the Accident Prevention & OSHA Inspection Program for the Florida Automobile Dealers Association Self-Insurance Fund. While there, he served as Divisional Underwriting Manager for the Western Division and Divisional Executive Assistant for the Western & Southern Divisions. During this time, he co-authored "Unicover IV & V," a package policy developed exclusively for franchised automobile dealers.
In 1987, Bob assisted in the creation of a new professional liability insurance carrier, RUMGER Insurance Company, later purchased by Great American Insurance Company. He authored their easy-to-read professional liability insurance policies - Pro-Law & Pro-Med for lawyers and physicians respectively.
In June 1993, Bob joined National Risk Management & Associates. In addition to providing insurance products and services, Bob frequently testifies as an insurance expert in many states as well as federal courts. His clients have included the Orlando International Airport, Walt Disney's Epcot Center, Commercial Carrier Corp, Nichols Campbell & Morrow (NCM), and several insurance carriers and law firms. He has developed and drafted policy language and state filings for specialized markets including New & Used Car Dealers Package, eBusinessowners & eProfessional Liability, and Insurance Agents, Lawyers and Physicians Professional Liability policies.
