Alexander Gold

Bio Detail

Alex is the Loss Control Team Leader at Lamb Insurance Services where he is responsible for developing and implementing risk management/loss control initiatives for non-profit organizations across the country. Alex is also certified as a Workplace Safety & Loss Prevention Specialist (Code Rule 59 & 60) by the New York State Department of Labor. Prior to joining Lamb Insurance Services, he was a Risk Management Consultant for international, multi-billion-dollar organizations, an Assistant Vice President for a national brokerage firm's Professional Liability division and a Commercial Lines Manager for a regional brokerage firm. Alex has earned a Master of Science degree in Risk Management from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University. He also holds a Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation, a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, and a Certified School Risk Manager designation from the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research as well as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from The Institutes Risk & Insurance Knowledge Group.

Leonard Watson

Bio Detail

Len Watson is a charter member of the National Faculty for the CRM Program and president of his own consulting firm, Phoenix Resource Systems, Inc., headquartered in Bluffton, SC. He specializes in organizational performance improvement. Len is also a faculty member at Georgia Southern University and teaches statistical analysis at the Armstrong campus in Savannah, GA. He previously served on the business faculty of Palm Beach Atlantic University, the University of Phoenix, and Mars Hill College. Prior to his career in education, he was chief operations officer for a large insurance agency in North Carolina, and earlier served in senior management for several international insurance companies. He has served as a director with the American Institute for CPCU and has written numerous texts, including the Global Environment of Insurance, published by the Insurance Institute of America. Len earned his doctoral and master's degrees from the University of Delaware, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut. He has earned the CIC, CRM, CPCU, and AIC designations. Len believes that businesses increasingly need the analytical and critical thinking skills that the risk management profession brings to organizational decision making. He is dedicated to increasing the visibility of the risk management profession among senior management groups in all organizations.
