John Dismukes

Bio Detail

John Dismukes has been involved in the insurance business since 1967. He has worked for an insurance company as a marketing representative, independent insurance agent, and served as Director of Education for the Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma from 1996 to July 2000. John received his CPCU designation in 1977, his AAI designation in 1984, and his CIC designation in 1994, and his AIS designation in 2000. He has served as President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Tulsa and President of the Northeastern Oklahoma Chapter of CPCU. John is a National Faculty member of The National Alliance and serves as Educational Consultant. John formed his own independent training and consulting firm in 1998, and now conducts educational seminars all over the United States. In addition, he provides consulting services, expert witness services, and insurance agency valuations to agencies and companies.

Robert Ford

Bio Detail

Robert Ford is Senior Vice President, and Director of the Claims Division for American Insurance Center. Bob started in the insurance business at age 19, when he was hired by Nodak Mutual Insurance Company as a territory producer in Wahpeton, North Dakota, and later transferred to Dickinson North Dakota. Bob returned in 1978 to Devils Lake, North Dakota to work in and purchase the family run agency. He has been with Ford Insurance Agency ever since. Bob has since involved himself in the insurance industry participating in several programs. Early in his career he started training with the IIAA of Iowa at the University of Iowa on an annual basis with their agency management school. These sessions were led by nationally known Dr. Emmett Vaughn. Those sessions helped Bob to lay the foundation for a good understanding of the insurance industry and the agency company relationships. Bob was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for North Dakota PIA (Professional Insurance Agents), and served in that position for 13 years. During that time his favorite activity was chairing the education committee. He held that position for eight years. Bob especially enjoyed chairing the education committee because in his view education is critical to a successful career. He has been privileged to serve as North Dakota PIA President and has also served as North Dakota PIA National Director. In trying to further his education, Bob completed his CIC designation in 2001, and his CISR designation in 2006. In addition, he has earned the following insurance designations, CPIA (Certified Professional Insurance Agent), CLCS (Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist), MLIS (Management Liability Insurance Specialist), and CRIS (Construction Risk Insurance Specialist). Enjoying education so much, Bob continues his educational pursuits by teaching many insurance workshops each year around the country, and is also a member of the national faculty for the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.

David Henry

Bio Detail

David W. Henry is a graduate of Emory University and the University of Florida College of Law. He is a shareholder in the Orlando office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin. His litigation practice primarily involves E&O, D&O, intellectual property litigation and representation of employers in employment-related litigation. In addition to teaching and his litigation practice David serves as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil and Appellate Mediator. David teaches mediation advocacy and training for attorneys and insurance carrier representatives across the United States. Since 1994 he has been a member of the National Faculty of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors and he has spoken to over 10,000 lawyers and insurance professionals across the United States, the Bahamas and London on issues relating to errors & omission liability, effective mediation advocacy, insurance coverage and claims handling. He has been published in Entrepreneur magazine, the Florida Bar Journal, Insights, and National Underwriter, P&C Edition.
