Cindy Moyers is a 41-year veteran of the insurance industry with experience in multi-line insurance sales and service. She has a BS degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Organizational Management. She has been involved in all phases of agency operations including, but not limited to, Employee Benefits Business Development Manager, Agency Operations Manager, Personal Lines Manager, and Automation Workflow Coordinator. She has also been involved in the strategic planning, staff organization, and workflow management in an independent agency.
Cindy is a past President of NAIFA Tennessee and currently utilizes her industry experience to provide seminars and instruction to Young Advisors who are members of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) for the State of Tennessee. She also serves as a motivational speaker to local associations of NAIFA Tennessee.
Cindy currently provides individual life and health products, employee benefits, and ancillary products through her agency. Cindy earned her CIC designation in 1999, and her CISR designation in 1995. She also holds the LUTCF and LACP designations. She recognizes education is a lifelong commitment needed to maintain a competitive edge in the insurance and financial service industries. In 2018 Cindy received the honorable distinction of National CIC Faculty.
Faculty NameLaToya Maddox
LaToya is a Certified Financial Planner and the Chief Operating Officer at Phoenix Associates Insurance Agency with a focus on strategy and marketing. She has worked with Phoenix Associates, an independent insurance agency located in Marietta, GA, since 1997. She is responsible for finding financial solutions for individual clients and small business owners. She is a graduate of Georgia State University Executive MBA program and has been in the insurance and financial services industry for over 20 years. Her combined knowledge of insurance and her ability to solve complex problems with a deep commitment to support her clients in making decisions that have lifelong implications. Her long-term perspective strengthens financial health and fosters financial independence. She understands the value of looking at a person's entire life situation in order to find solutions to their financial issues.
LaToya has the Life/Health and Property/Casualty insurance licenses, series 7 and 65 securities licenses, and holds the Certified Financial Planner designation. Currently, she is a Life/Health instructor at RS Thomas Training Associates and has taught insurance and retirement planning CFP courses at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia.
She is an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Georgia. Currently serving as the Director of Advocacy.
