Each of the eight Achievement Badges demonstrates proficiency in specific areas of the Certified Insurance Service Representative learning path and serve as milestones toward earning the renowned CISR designation.

Business Basics

This badge represents successful completion of the Business Basics Module of the CISR Program.

Earning Criteria

  • Students have explored the various career paths in the Insurance Industry and identified their career interests. 
  • Students have an understanding of the importance of contract language and business ethics as they relate to the insurance industry.

Personal Auto

This badge represents successful completion of the Personal Auto Module of the CISR Program.

Earning Criteria

  • Students can identify exposures and more effectively advise on policy limitations or exclusions.
  • Students can provide needed coverage to clients.

Personal Residential

This badge represents successful completion of the Personal Residential Module of the CISR Program.

Earning Criteria

  • Students have developed the expertise to guide clients through the process of purchasing homeowner’s insurance.
  • Students can provide provide practical information that help clients protect their assets and financial future in the event of a loss.

Commercial Casualty

This badge represents successful completion of the Commercial Casualty module of the CISR Program.

Earning Criteria

  • Students have an understanding of legal liability and what creates liability exposures.
  • Students can navigate the Commercial General Liability Coverage Form, address additional insured exposures, and explain the coverages available.
  • Students have knowledge of commercial property coverage and can reduce E&O exposures.

Workers' Compensation

This badge represents successful completion of the Workers’ Compensation Module of the CISR Program.

Earning Criteria

  • Students who have earned this badge have an understanding of Workers’ Compensation Insurance, Benefits, and Employers’ Liability insurance.

Life and Health

This badge represents successful completion of the Life and Health Insurance module of the CISR Program.

Earning Criteria

  • Students are prepared to answer questions about analyzing the need for and placement of life insurance.
  • Students understand and can explain how to use a diverse assortment of policies, from medical expense coverage to vision care and dental coverage.
  • Students understand and can explain a variety of delivery systems and health plans designed to manage the high cost of care.

Risk Management

This badge represents successful completion of the Risk Management module of the CISR Program.

Earning Criteria

  • Students have an understanding of the Risk Management process, helping to protect an organization’s assets, mission, and brand.

Selling & Service

This badge represents successful completion of the Selling & Service Module of the CISR Program.

  • Type: Learning
  • Level: Foundational
  • Length: 540 Instructional Minutes

Earning Criteria

  • Students have an understanding of communication and negotiation skills and know how to develop solid prospects, overcome objections, and close sales. 
  • Students know how to interact with colleagues, clients, and the larger community using active listening skills to identify client needs.

HOW DO YOU EARN ACHIEVEMENT BADGES?

Take Course

Enroll in the CISR High School program, complete the eight course modules, and pass each corresponding Industry Based Certification Exams.

Pass Industry Certification Exam

Review, practice for, and pass the Industry Based CISR certification exam with a score of 70 or above – the same passing rate required of professionals in the industry.

Receive Badge & Promote Yourself!

Students and teaches receive passing scores and statuses immediately. Badges are then awarded through the CISR HS instructor within 30 days of passing the Industry Based Certification Exam. Students can promote their earned skills and market themselves to potential employers by displaying CISR badges on resumes, digital portfolios, and social media platforms.
