Jeremiah Gonzales, CIC, CRM, CRIS

Jeremiah Gonzales, CIC, CRM, CRIS is the Commercial Lines Academic Director for the National Alliance.  In his role, Jeremiah collaborates with the National Alliance faculty and industry colleagues to research and analyze Commercial Lines trends, changes, and coverage to present quality educational content to insurance professionals of all levels.  He is also responsible for the Commercial Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) designation programs.

Jeremiah has been in the insurance industry for almost two decades, mostly in commercial lines insurance.  Starting as a temporary clerical employee at Summit Global Partners (later becoming USI Southwest) in San Angelo, TX, Jeremiah quickly showed the passion and technical prowess needed to move into an account manager position.  After earning his Texas P&C license, Jeremiah worked in the small business and Pest Control insurance departments for 7 years. 

Moving to Austin in 2010, Jeremiah worked at Progressive in their high fraud states program before moving back into the insurance agency world in 2012 with Time Insurance Agency.  Dealing mostly with contractors, Jeremiah became proficient with the needs and perils most contractors face in the US.  Jeremiah eventually moved into a Commercial Marketing Representative role with Higginbotham, a Senior Account Manager position and finally a Regional Carrier Relationship Manager role where Jeremiah coordinated relationships with a multitude of insurance carriers and maintained contact with upper management.

He earned his CIC designation in 2016, Certified Risk Manager (CRM) in 2019 followed most recently with a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation in 2021. In 2019, Jeremiah was named Texas’ Outstanding Customer Service Representative by The National Alliance as well as Customer Service Representative Agent of the Year by the Independent Insurance Agents of Austin (IIAA).

Sharing his knowledge, helping others understand various aspects of insurance, and wanting to help the insurance community grow and improve is what excites Jeremiah the most about being in this industry.
