What Our Faculty Have to Say
"Professionally one of the most rewarding things I get to do is speak on behalf of The National Alliance. Why is it so rewarding? Because in the insurance industry, one is never done “learning.” When teaching, you are in a constant state of learning. Having the privilege of being a part of growing our industry with knowledgeable, passionate insurance professionals creates a legacy of positive contribution to the industry and society. I am so thankful to be a part of an organization that is committed to our industry and supports the continuing education process for aspiring professionals seeking to provide better service to their clients."

"When I began my career in the insurance industry, I wanted to be recognized as an insurance professional, I believed/believe this requires lifelong learning. After receiving my CIC designation in 1977, I was honored to be asked to become an instructor for The National Alliance in 1981 (at that time the Society of CIC). I accepted knowing the challenge of being a member of the faculty of The National Alliance would require me to not only utilize my prior experiences but also require me to conduct the needed research to share and hopefully enhance the skill set of others. I believed/believe this would further strengthen my own competencies. I have not been disappointed! Knowledge should be shared as our industry is about protecting clients’ assets. We meet our obligation by knowing how to best do so. You should share with others. I look forward to learning from you!!!"

"As someone who has had the privilege of being a decade’s long member of the National CIC and Graduate Ruble faculty, I have not only had a vast expansion of my insurance product and industry knowledge but have also grown to realize that I have become an ever more dedicated student myself. I have experienced the highest level of gratification by sharing the knowledge that I have come to learn not only as a faculty member but also from the experiences learned as an insurance practitioner back in the office. Most importantly, I have found that being a faculty member provides a great opportunity to give back to the industry that I have benefitted from for so many years and has made me appreciate that we are all perpetual students, no matter how long we have been in the business or how many professional designations we may have obtained. The learning never stops."

"I have been teaching most of my life. For six summers starting at 17, head swim coaching taught me the value of teaching proper technique, repetition of quality hard work, and the need to teach with the end in mind to achieve your goals. I have continued to teach at a professional level through the National Alliance since 2005. The experience allows me to coach participants within the CRM/CIC designation programs by passing on the knowledge I have gained over twenty years working within insurance organizations, gain a better understanding and interact with the diverse backgrounds and issues faced by participants across the country, and contribute to the success of those participants seeking to advance their technical knowledge within the insurance industry. Whether it is through the classroom or on-line process, I continue to enjoy creating a story from the course work and delivering it in an insightful manner. No two teaching experiences are the same. My success is the opportunity to position the topics presented in a way that will drive actionable change for the students by actively applying the material within their respective job functions."
